MEDIATION TOOLBOX
2014. Practical and theoretical contributions. print edition and eBook (only in Dutch at the moment).

“The 'horizontal' reading recommended by Tania Almeida led me to discover the roots of structuralism in her work, going back to Marshall McLuhan with the book 'The medium is the message' (1967) in which the medium itself (or method) constitutes the true message. Now, it is to be hoped that the Courts will welcome the openness that Tania Almeida's book inspires, leaving trainers and judicial mediators free to build their 'opera tighten'. And if judicial mediation develops in this way in Brazil, the example will certainly extend to extrajudicial mediation. This is the way forward, and the work presented here constitutes, in itself, an example of a good tool to be used. The medium is the message, Master McLuhan.”

CONFLICT MEDIATION FOR BEGINNERS, PRACTITIONERS AND TEACHERS
2020. Print edition

“The book 'Conflict Mediation: for beginners, practitioners and teachers' is coordinated by Professor TANIA ALMEIDA, Director-President of MEDIARE, with two other respected specialists, Professor SAMANTHA PELAJO, President of the OAB/RJ Conflict Mediation Commission and Professor EVA JONATHAN, Professor and Researcher at PUC-RIO. It contains three parts: one on Mediation for Beginners, another on Conflict Mediation for Practitioners, and a third on Conflict Mediation for Teachers. Conceived in order to contain “theoretical and practical contributions on the collaborative method of conflict resolution”, with the collaboration of “mediators and teachers with consolidated experience”. With all certainty, the important work will fulfill the purposes established by the Coordinators, which are to a) 'make Conflict Mediation better known by people', b) 'contribute to the instrumentalization of Mediation professionals, whether they are beginners, experienced or professors' and – certainly the most important – that of c) 'fostering social pacification, favoring a change in the cultural paradigm towards Conflict Mediation as a collaborative and self-composed method of dispute resolution'. Kazuo Watanabe The rigorous selection of content aimed sequentially at beginners, practitioners and teachers, combined with the careful choice of authors, fully meets the mediation institute for such diverse groups, due to the dedicated commitment of each author.

TOOLBOX II - NEW INPUTS
2023. Print edition and eBook (only in Dutch at the moment).

Toolbox II arrives to complement the work “Toolbox – practical and theoretical contributions” in content and thematic diversity. Product of mindsets by different authors, invited to collaborate with tools not covered in the first edition, the multiplicity of their productions corroborates the idea that the Mediation Toolbox remains open to new contributions, adding contributions to existing ones, at any time. The transdisciplinary nature of Mediation validates this openness to the permanent expansion of resources, coming from different disciplines. Maintained the layout of the first work ― objective, operationalization and expected impact of each tool, as well as the theoretical support that gives it its foundation ―, the reader will talk to the ideas of different Mediation practitioners and some theorists who lend their reflections.
